Why I Fight for Justice – Joel Wright

| Oct 25, 2018 | Why I fight for Justice |

WHY I FIGHT FOR JUSTICE “Because like Dr. King, I believe each and every one of our fate is intertwined into a “single garment of destiny.” I believe that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” And so I believe it’s imperative to seek out and shine a light on all injustice in order to awaken the neutral observers and together fight for a better world.” Joel Wright, Paralegal

Raised by two educators in a small Texas town, Joel grew up within a loving community but with a limited worldview. Moving to Austin at 18 to attend the University of Texas greatly expanded his horizons, which in turn provided him with meaningful interactions and new experiences. But it wasn’t until his mid-20’s, after a series of life-altering hardships, that he sincerely began to consider the impact his life had on the lives and communities with whom he interacted daily
